Female, 10-19, Gritty (Valspar X104R212A) was selected for the SPS Face2026 open submission exhibition in the lovely Garrison Chapel, Chelsea Barracks, London.
This work is part of Jeans’ Mood Studies series. It is a portrait of a young, mixed-race female and is painted with a colour that has been called Gritty by the manufacturers. The Mood Studies series explores the social significance of colour and combines portraits of individuals with colours that have been given names that refer to human character or mood.
